Applicant Requirements
Objectives and Intention
- The applicant must have the desire to return to their home country to help cultivate human resources or as a leader related to the agricultural field in their community after apprenticing under a Japanese farmer for three years.
Nationality and Visa
- The applicant must be a citizen of the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal.
- The applicant must not be planning or seeking to obtain a different visa status, such as “Student”, during their stay in Japan.
Age
- The applicant must be 40 or younger in March 2020.
Academic Records and Health
- The applicant must have graduated high school.
- The applicant must be able to participate in an interview in English or Nepali(to be held tentatively in November 2019).
- Before departure, the applicant must have passed the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) N5 or an equivalent test.
- The applicant must not have any serious chronic illnesses and must be of sound body and mind.
Economic Circumstance
- The applicant must be able to pay for their own training and language studies prior to their departure for Japan.
Foreign Technical Training System
- The applicant must be able to properly enter Japan as a Foreign Technical Trainee or be planning to be able to enter.
Japanese Language and Technical Skills Test
- The applicant must have motivation to learn Japanese relevant and necessary to their field training.
- The applicant must have the motivation to actively learn in order to pass their technical skills tests.
Grant and Completion of Program Award
Grant Amount: 100,000 yen per month
Grant Period : The grant will be awarded from the first month of the
apprenticeship for three (3) years.
Completion Award: 200,000 yen
- The award will be given under the stipulation that the apprentice has fulfilled their training properly and returned to their home country.
- The apprentice must possess a bank account bearing their name to which the Foundation is able to send the award.
