Jobs Description

  • To  manage the DFID/Embassy office vehicle movement as per the business need. The position will be responsible to manage the Drivers and transportation fleet of consolidated transport Services.
  • To manage the DFID/Embassy office vehicle movement as per the business need
  • Deliver Transport Services as per post Transport policy and One HMG SLA
  • To maintain transport record (including vehicle hires) and periodic analysis to bring efficiencies in area of Transport Management
  • To manage duty roster of drivers
  • To manage fuel inventory
  • Responsible to manage fuel inventory including budget management responsibilities
  • Liase with Corporate Services Officer for Fuel Procurement
  • Disbursement of Fuel to Official vehicle and UKB staff’s blue plated vehicle
  • Send information to reception on quarterly basis for private charging to UKB staff
  • To supervise the official Transport Pool, ensuring that the vehicles are well maintained , timely serviced and are used economically and only as authorised
  • To assist to arranging insurance policies for vehicles and maintain insurance policies for the Embassy vehicles.
  • To monitor and manage safety and security issues
  • Liase with regional hub for procurement and disposal of Office vehicle
  • To ensure issuance of CD number plate and registration in coordination with Protocol Officer
  • To ensure adherence to Local Government policy with regards to transport management like emission test, renewal of bluebook etc
  • Manage Vehicle hire to fulfil the additional need of vehicle movement
  • Other adhoc duties as assigned.
Qualification
  • Bachelor’s degree in any field (preferred management ) 
  • Proven record of Working with others and good interpersonal skills; excellent team work skill
  • At least 2 years of experience in Transport Management or logistics management
  • Computer literate – Word, Outlook (email) and Excel
  • Working visa, if not a Nepali. 
  • 4 wheeler driving license
