How use Facebook safely? Better Facebook Experience

Posted by Bibhid.com on October 15, 2019 in ,
In many ways, Facebook has become a parallel universe nowadays. Millions of people use Facebook on their mobiles and millions of others don't even log out. Now many businesses have gone through Facebook, some even operated through Facebook page without having their own website. With the ever-evolving development of information technology, many forms of communication have become available, but most of the time people have been using Facebook Messenger to make calls and messages. Despite all these qualities on Facebook, people have sometimes suffered some embarrassment, which has wasted valuable time and even confidentiality.

Prevent other to write on your wall
Sometimes you may have encountered this, even if your neighbor Auntie or a college friend who just learned to use Facebook posted a video they liked on your Facebook wall but you didn't like it at all. At times, there may be offensive and misleading things. There are also instances in which commentating leads to a bitter arguments.
Facebook has also allowed people to easily block people to write in other Facebook timeline, so that they can run Facebook normally during their free time and even protect their Facebook wall from digital junk.
To do this from the desktop,

  • Go to Settings and click on the timeline and tagging on the left, there is a button called Edit.
  • Now you have to choose the only me where you can only post on your timeline.
  • Doing so will prevent anyone from posting to your wall.
  • You can even turn off automatic post tagging from here, and doing so won't post it to your Facebook wall without your approval.

Check if your picture is public or not
Facebook is often careful with photo tags. If someone tags your photo, you will be notified and you will have the option to remove that tag. Sometimes you may not even find that you are tagged in the excitement of online activity, but we are already publicly visible on Facebook. We can also delete it by looking at the photo.

  • To see which photos are tagged, go to your 'Activity Log'.
  • Click on the photos to the left, then click on 'Photo of You'.
  • Now there is a lot of work to be done. All public photos will be visible if you choose Public in the shared with button.
  • You can hide or report all of these photos.
Remote  logout function
There are hundreds of reasons for using Facebook from an unfamiliar computer. Your mobile may be turned off and you may have used Facebook from a friend's computer, sometimes cyber while traveling, but these unknown computers may have security risks that could even cause you problems.

Facebook has the ability to log out of all those unfamiliar computers from any one computer. It is really nice to be able to log out and log on to another computer without having to log in.

To do so,
  • Go to Settings and
  • Click Security and Logging.
  • Any device that has used Facebook so far can be viewed by logging out now.
Check Message Request Folder
One of the mysterious aspects of Facebook is the message request folder, which most Facebook users are not aware of. Just like the junk folder in our normal mailbox, Facebook works to pick the most unwanted messages.
There are also messages from non-friends on Facebook but from people you know who may have been waiting for your answer so sometimes it's best to check it out.
To do this,
  • Click on your message,
  • You will see a logo similar to the setting on the right.
  • Click on the message request message.
  • Here are all the messages, if you see an old friend's message you will be happy.
